Privacy notice

What Sillcroft collects when you contact us, how the tools work and how to ask a privacy question.

For privacy questions, contact webmaster.jarvis@gmail.com. Please avoid sending sensitive personal information that is not needed for your enquiry.

Using the tools

Calculator inputs and results are processed in your browser. We do not send those entries to our server or save them in browser storage. Reloading or leaving the page clears the tool's current entries.

Contacting us

When you send an enquiry, we receive the name, email address, optional subject and message you provide. We use them to read and answer the enquiry. Our lawful basis is legitimate interests in responding to people who contact the site and maintaining the service.

Cloudflare provides hosting and, when the contact form is configured, security checks and delivery processing for form submissions. A form submission includes technical information needed for security verification, including the connection's IP address. Enquiries are delivered to our email inbox. Emailing us directly also uses your and our email providers.

We delete enquiry emails after 12 months. Do not include passwords, payment-card details or private documents in a message. We do not use your enquiry to sign you up to marketing.

Cookies and analytics

At launch, no analytics service is configured. We remember your cookie-notice choice using the browser's local storage. The cookie notice describes that item and contact-form security technology. The footer's Cookie settings control lets you revisit your choice.

When you follow an external link, that website has its own privacy and cookie practices. Advertising links may allow the destination or affiliate network to recognise a referral. We explain those links in the affiliate disclosure.

Your information

You may have rights to access, correct or delete personal information, restrict processing or object, depending on the circumstances. Email us to make a request. We may need to confirm your identity before disclosing personal information.

You can also raise concerns with the Information Commissioner's Office. This notice will be updated if our use of personal information changes.
